1. President Droupadi Murmu inaugurates Samvidhan Udhyan in Jaipur.

• She virtually laid the foundation stone for the 1,000 MW Bikaner Solar Power Project in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

• The project is expected to be commissioned by March 2024 and will generate approximately 2454.55 million units in the first year.

2. Odisha government to provide free rice for one year under the state food security scheme.

• The Odisha government launched its own state food security scheme on 2 october 2018 for those poor people who were not covered under the National Food Security Act 2013.

• These beneficiaries were provided 5 kg of rice at Rs. 1 Per Kg.

3. Union Cabinet approves Rs 2,614.51 crore investment in the 382 MW Sunni Dam Hydro Electric Project.

• Sunni Dam Hydro Electric Project is being developed by Sutlej Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited (SJVN) on Sutlej river in Shimla and Manali district of Himachal Pradesh.

4. India to take charge of APPU (Asion Pacific Postal Union) in Bnagkok, Thailand from Jan. 2023.

8. The Defence minister has initiated the process to procure 100 more K-9 Vajra self propelled howitzer, which are made in India by Larsen & Toubro (L&T) using technology transferred by South Korean defence major Hanwha Defence.

       K-9 Vajra:- It is a 155mm, 520-Calibre tracked self propelled Howitzer built by L&T.
